Programme 2024/2025
We meet on the afternoons of the second Tuesday of the month, at Canolfan y Capel, Caeathro, near Caernarfon (unless otherwise indicated), starting at 1pm (unless otherwise indicated), but if you want to stage your competition entry get there a little earlier. There is room to park on the main or adjoining roads, but if the gates are open (and they usually will be) there is plenty of parking in the (free) car park opposite. The talks are given in English.
Tuesday 10th September 2024 at 1pm, this is the first time we have got together in September and it will be a social occasion.
Tuesday 8th October 2024 at 1pm, a talk by Mel Livingston, from Fron Goch Garden Centre, on "Planting Bulbs".
Tuesday
12th November 2024 at 1pm, a talk by
Neil Adcock, of Seiont Nurseries, on "Plants of the Future".
Competition: Autumn Glory Flowers, berries, leaves.
Tuesday 10th December 2024 at 1pm, a Christmas Table Display Workshop, with Jill Evans.
Tuesday
14th January 2025 at 1pm, a
talk on "Producing Honey" with Alun Allcock, of Snowdon
Honey Farm.
Competition: Photo of your garden at any time of year
Tuesday
11th February 2025,
is
our Annual General Meeting (which is usually quite short), followed by a Dinner (for those who want to
stay and have previously booked their meal), at Caernarfon Golf Club, on the Aber
Foreshore. [Bookings and payments for the Dinner are usually taken at the January meeting,
but contact the Secretary for further information.]
Tuesday 11th March 2025,
at 1pm a talk
on "Kokedama" by Jean Rickford.
Competition: Spring Flowers.
Tuesday 8th April 2025, at 1pm, a talk on "Plant Collecting in Colombia" by Bleddyn Wynn-Jones, of Grūg Farm Plants.
Tuesday 13th May 2025, at 1:45pm, is a garden visit, Porthmadog, details nearer the time.
Saturday 14th June 2025 is our annual Coach Trip.
Saturday 12th July 2025, we
Have our Garden Party.
No event in August.
Guests or visitors are welcome to any meeting for a nominal charge of £2, refundable if you decide to Join during that meeting. Annual subscriptions of £8 are due in September/October, but you can join and pay at any following meeting, if you ask for Delia, the Treasurer. You will be given a card with full details of the season's talks and visits, and contact details.
